Alerts drops new single “The Prisoner”

Adelaide-based emcee Alerts has recently released the track and accompanying film clip for “The Prisoner”. The reflective song talks about life dealing with the prison system, returning home, heading down new avenues and embracing music. Alerts is as powerful as ever on this one, once again teaming up with rapper/producer Simplex of Terra Firma who crafted the beat and DJ Sanchez chips in with the cuts.

The impressive new clip featuring a host of local heads (Tarns, Lotek1200, Realizm, Emvee) has been superbly executed by 1984 Films (Josh Davis & HEATA of Hired Goons) and was filmed at various locations across Adelaide and Melbourne, including Gaucho’s Argentinian Barbeque. 1984 Films are responsible for a stack of the most memorable clips to emerge from Australia including for the likes of Trem, Kings Konekted, Tornts, Briggs, Kerser, Funkoars, Tommy Illfigga, Bias B, Lazy Grey, Bigfoot, Suss One, P-Link, Fluent Form, Syntax, Raven, Geko, Jake Biz and Kid Selzy.

Alerts has previously worked with the likes of Delta, Simplex, Motions, Kimence, Social Change, DJ Dyems and Mnops and has supported the likes of Kings Konekted, Rates, Tech N9ne, Fat Joe, Cormega, Spice 1 amongst many more. With a new single, film clip and EP all on the horizon, we can’t wait to see what he has in-store next.
